Chandini offers courses of Indian fusion dance at the school of world dance « Adansé » in Pringy (Annecy) and weekly courses at the « MJC sud » (Community Arts Center) in Annemasse.
Adult courses:
In an attempt to make Indian dance accessible to the uninitiated and fully conscious of the difficulties, whether cultural or corporal, Chandini offers Indian fusion courses which allow her to pass on the basics of classical and folk Indian dances.
Her teaching centres on the emotions, and on detail and precision.
True to herself, she avoids superficiality by sharing with her pupils the spiritual aspect as much as the cultural aspects inherent to these dances.
Children’s courses:
The danced mime being fundamental in Indian dance, she uses it to draw children into different mythological adventures. Using costumes as a front door to an enchanted world, she projects the children into the Indian universe, so full of stories and sequins and colors.
With bells on her ankles, she visits the rhythms and progressively lays down the basics of her body movements.
As she prefers the playful way, she favors the actor’s performance rather than pure technique. The coordination and the precision of the movements can in this way develop themselves peacefully.
